Welcome to the

PGCPS BMF Advisory Council

Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders in Business, Management, Finance, and Entrepreneurship

Empowering Dreams, Inspiring Change

The PGCPS BMF Advisory Council is a dynamic coalition of professionals dedicated to enhancing the educational landscape of Prince George's County. While independent from the school district, we collaborate closely with the Career and Technical Education (CTE) staff and leadership to enrich the Business, Management, Finance, and Entrepreneurship programs.

Be a steadfast resource for guidance, support, and opportunity, fostering a community where faculty, staff, and—most importantly—students, are encouraged and equipped to reach their fullest potential.

Our Commitment to Education and Growth

Our efforts are designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business challenges. Through a variety of initiatives such as supporting the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), 3DE programs, facilitating mock interviews, organizing business clothing drives (Career Closet), and hosting boot camps and career days, we've made tangible impacts on the lives of students and educators alike. Our council members volunteer their time, expertise, and resources to prepare the youth of Prince George's County for successful futures in business and beyond.

Practical Skill Development

By supporting initiatives such as the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), 3DE programs, the council helps students develop practical skills essential for success in the business world. These initiatives provide opportunities for students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings, honing their problem-solving, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Career Readiness

Through organizing career days, facilitating mock interviews, and hosting business clothing drives (Career Closet), the council contributes significantly to preparing students for the transition from education to the workforce. By exposing students to real-world business environments, helping them refine their interview skills, and ensuring they have appropriate attire for professional settings, the council enhances students' confidence and readiness to pursue careers in business and related fields.

Community Engagement and Mentorship

The council's volunteer members offer their time, expertise, and resources to support students and educators, fostering a sense of community and mentorship within Prince George's County. By sharing their experiences, providing guidance, and serving as role models, council members inspire and empower the youth to pursue their academic and professional goals with determination and resilience. This mentorship helps students navigate challenges, explore opportunities, and build valuable networks that can support their future endeavors in business and beyond.
