PGCPS BMF Advisory Council

Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders in Business, Management, Finance, and Entrepreneurship

The PGCPS BMF Advisory Council is an integral part of Prince George's County's commitment to fostering educational excellence within the realms of Business, Management, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. While operating independently, we maintain a symbiotic relationship with the Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS), specifically supporting the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Our mission is multifaceted, focusing on not only enhancing the academic environment but also ensuring students are prepared for the college and careers that await them.

OUR MISSION

To provide a bridge between the business community and educational institutions in Prince George's County, offering students unparalleled access to real-world experiences, mentorship, and opportunities in the business sector. Through our collaboration with CTE staff and leadership, we aim to enrich the curriculum and open new pathways for student success in business-related disciplines.

OUR VISION

A future where every student in Prince George's County has the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to explore, grow, and excel in the business world. We envision a community where local professionals actively contribute to shaping a robust educational ecosystem, leading to empowered students ready to tackle the challenges of tomorrow's business landscape.

Why We Do It

In the fast-evolving world of business and finance, practical, hands-on experience is invaluable. The PGCPS BMF Advisory Council strives to ensure that students are not only academically prepared but also have the practical skills and networking opportunities they need to succeed post-graduation. By bringing together a diverse group of volunteers from the business community, we aim to share expertise, offer guidance, and provide meaningful support to the faculty and students of PGCPS.

We're always on the lookout for passionate volunteers to join our cause. Whether you're interested in serving on our advisory board, sharing your expertise as a guest speaker, offering internship opportunities, or simply lending a hand at our events, your contribution can make a significant impact. Volunteers enjoy access to our network, a certificate of participation, a boost to their resume, and the rewarding experience of making a difference in the community.
